In 1980, in Barcelona, Spain, Carles became interested in acting. In the year 2000, at the age of 19, he started studying with Nancy Tuñón in his hometown of Barcelona. He continued his training at her studio until 2006 and also attended various workshops, including “Actor frente a la cámara” by Esteve Rovira, Clown with Néstor Buzo, and Dance for actors taught by Montse Prats. During this time, he also had his first professional contacts, participating in short films and TV movies such as Gàbies d’Or, directed by Antoni Ribas in 2004, and María i Assou, by Silvia Quer in 2005—both for Televisió de Catalunya.
In 2006, he began working in TV series like El Cor de la Ciutat and Vendelplá for Televisió de Catalunya. He also appeared in the movie Yo soy la Juani, directed by Bigas Luna and starring Verónica Echegui and Dani Martín. In theater, he starred in Mòbil, a play by Serbi Belbel directed by Lluís Pascual. Despite his early professional success, he continued his training by taking courses such as Vocal Technique with Anna Lou at the Altaveu school.
In 2007, he filmed the TV movie Propósitos perversos, directed by Robert Malenfant, and made his national television debut in Hospital Central, a series that made him known throughout the country. While in Madrid, the actor continued to train in different seminars with Andrés Lima—working on texts by Valle-Inclán—, Juan Carlos Corazza, John Strasberg, Mara Bestelli—deepening in Chekhov’s work—, and Raquel Pérez.
In 2009, he starred in the series Punta escarlata for Telecinco, and in 2010, he appeared in Aída for Telecinco and Bandolera for Antena 3. In 2012, he returned to the cinema with Tengo ganas de ti, directed by Fernando González Molina and starring Clara Lago, María Valverde, and Mario Casas.
In 2013, he joined the cast of Águila Roja and filmed the mini-series Víctor Ros, both for Televisión Española. The same year, he returned to the stage to star in El huerto de guindos, an adaptation by director Raúl Tejón of Chekhov’s classic, The Cherry Orchard.
In 2014, he worked under Rubén Cano’s direction in the theatrical production Contra la ironía de la clase extrema, with a script by Antonio Rojano, which was performed at the Madrid Fringe Festival. In 2019, he returned to the theater and took the stage with Juan Carlos Pérez De la Fuente in Un marido ideal. He also premiered the play El Sirviente alongside Eusebio Poncela and Pablo Rivero, directed by Mireia Gabilondo.
In 2015, he starred in the Mediaset series Rabia and Sé quién eres, as well as the TV movie La española inglesa directed by Marco Castillo, alongside Macarena García. In 2016, he filmed Andreu Castro’s debut film, Pasaje al amanecer, and shot the second season of Víctor Ros. In 2018, he participated in the series Los nuestros 2 for Telecinco and the fourth season of Las chicas del cable. His latest TV works include the series Días Mejores and Operación Marea Negra, both for Prime Video, and Amar es para siempre for Antena 3.
In the summer of 2023, he starts filming the movie L’Àvia i el Foraster, the debut of the Valencian director Sergi Miralles. Carles stars in this dramatic comedy alongside Neus Agulló and Kandarp Metha.
