Inma was born in Valencia, although her childhood was spent in Arquillos (Jaén). At 18 she moved to Cordoba to study drama at the School of Dramatic Art. After graduating, she completed her training in Seville, and finally in 2005, moved to Madrid where she joined the School of Dance Conservatory directed by Carmen Roche.

Her first big break came with Nacho Cano, starring in the musical Hoy no me puedo levantar, a show that achieved great success, being subject of great reviews.

Shortly thereafter she participates in several television series, such as Amar en tiempos revueltos (TVE) and Plan America (TVE). In 2009 it will come the role that has given her more popularity on television so far, Margarita Hernando, on the top series Águila Roja, a character she has played for several seasons and for which she won the Fotograma de Plata Award for the Best Television Actress and was nominated to the Best Suportting Actress for the Union of Actors Awards by the Academy of Television.

Her first movie role comes with Café solo o con ellas directed by Alvaro Diaz Lorenzo, followed by Paul Martinez El Kaserón, Primos directed by Daniel Sanchez Arevalo and Águila Roja, la película film adaptation of the TV series.

In 2011 she stars in Sleeping voice directed by Benito Zambrano, for what she gets her first nomination to the Goya Awards for Best Actress and the Best Film Actress nomination for the Union of Actors Awards.

Between 2011 and 2013 she shoots Alberto Rodriguez Unit 7 with Mario Casas and Antonio de la Torre, Blancanieves directed by Pablo Berger, Invader by Daniel Calpasoro with Alberto Ammann and Three many weddings directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera, submitted in the autor sectrion of the Venice Film Festival, for what she gets her second nomination to the Goya Awards, in the category of Best Actress, her first nomination to the Feroz Awards and the Fotograma de Plata Award . In 2013 she returns to the theater, starring in the musical Ay! Carmela.

A year later she stars in Las ovejas no pierden el tren by Álvaro Fernández Armer alongside Raúl Arévalo as well as in La novia by Paula Ortiz, a film which gave her her third nomination at the Goya awards. She went on to win the Premio Feroz for Female Lead. During the summer of 2015 she performs in Julieta directed by Pedro Almodóvar and in Capitán Kóblic under the direction of Sebastian Borensztein alongside Ricardo Darín. In 2017 she’s in the cast of El accidente, the Globomedia production for Telecinco. She is also in the film Todos lo saben directed by the Iranian Asgar Farhadi. In 2018 she performs in the series created by Paco León for Movistar+, Arde Madrid and she also films Vivir dos veces by María Ripoll in Valencia.
