When she was 11 years old Sara Sálamo performed the voice over in a short film directed by her father. This would be the detonator that awoke a passion in her for acting and she immediately enrolled in extracurricular theatre classes.

In her ongoing learning she crossed paths with teachers including Raquel Pérez, Fernando Piernas, Yeandro Tamayo and Juan Codina.

In 2012 she gave life to the character Violante Joven of Aragón in the series Toledo (Antena 3). In the same year came a role in her first feature film with Alex Ezkurdia’s Tres-60 where she took the role of Daniela, one of the leading roles.

A year later Sara took her first prime-time role for Telecinco, giving life to the character Cayetana in the series B&B de Boca en Boca. In 2014 she combined her work on the Telecinco series with other cinema projects including Harald Franklin’s The Glorious Seven and Andy Tennant’s Wild Oats.

In 2015 the director Roberto Pérez-Toledo offered Sara a role in the short film Eurofan and in the feature film Foam Party!. She also made her first appearance on stage with the Tomás Gayo theatre company where she performed in the Joe Orton play Lo que vio el Mayordomo, directed by Joe O’Curneen. He stars alongside Álvaro Cervantes and Hugo Silva. Her following appearances in television series have been Relatos confinados, in 2020, and Historias para no dormir, premiered in 2022, both for Prime Video.
In the same year three other titles for the big screen in which Sara has participated were released. They are the comedy ¡A todo tren! Destino Asturias directed by Santiago Segura, El año de la furia, set in the years of the Uruguayan dictatorship, and the international Christmas co-production El refugio.
