Juan Pablo debuts in the series Amor en forma followed by other Soap Operas such as La reina de Queens in which he captivated his audience. He simultaneously acted in the theatre in the Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marques’ Cronica de una muerta anunciada. He starred in Viva la Pepa produced by RCTV as well as La niña de mis ojos. Both these productions gained him popularity in Venezuela.

Juan Pablo later moves to New York to study Dramatic Arts in Lee Strasberg’s famous academy, The Actors Studio. His recognition as an actor begins in 2003 when he stars in Mi gorda bella, this series reaches a record breaking number of viewers, and makes history for Latinamerican productions.

In 2008 he participates in the internationally known TV series el Cartel de los sapos and also makes an appearance in an episode of the TV series Tiempo final and acts in the series Mental. He continues riding the series wave with Los caballeros las prefieren brutas by Sony.

In 2015 he joins the third season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC. A year later he works on the Spanish film 7 años by Roger Gaul, co-starring with Alex Brendemuhl, Juana Acosta and Paco Leon.

His most recent roles have been in Narcos, the successful Netflix series, Peppermint with Jennifer Garner, the series Six created by William Broyles Jr., David Broyles and the series Distrito Salvaje by Christian conti.
