1973, Algeciras, Cádiz, Spain

Victor began studying Law in Granada but gave it up to focus on his acting career. At 20 he moved to Madrid in order to study at RESAD (Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático) from which he graduated in 1997, something he combined with dubbing training in private academies. He has also completed training in singing, dancing and fencing.

He began performing in theatre with friends until he filmed his first short film in 1995. Titled David, it was directed by Carlos Montero, with sound by Alejandro Amenábar and cinematography by Mateo Gil. In this film he shared the screen with Eduardo Noriega.

His next short film was titled La Visita (1997) and it was directed by his brother, Carlos Clavijo and with whom he would work again on other occasions. During the same time he began to do his first dubbing work for TVE. Shortly afterwards he would take on a small part in what was to be his first film En la puta calle (1997), directed by Enrique Gabriel, although his scenes were not included in the final edit.

His first experience with television came in the same year 1997 as El Fary in the Antena 3 series Menudo es mi padre, in which he performed the part of the brother of Pilar López de Ayala. With this same actress he would work again on the series that has possibly brought him his most fame to date, and in which he worked on for two years (1998 – 2000), Al salir de clase.

During and after the series he has participated on numerous film projects, including: Mariano Barroso’s Los Lobos de Washington (1999), Patricia Ferreira’s El Alquimista impaciente (2002), Dionisio Pérez’s El regalo de Silvia (2003; Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón’s La vida que te espera (2004); Jorge Coira’s El año de la garrapata (2004); and Miguel Courtois’s GAL (2005).

During the last few years he has continued working in television, participating in numerous Spanish series with longstanding roles (Mujeres, Tirando a dar) or parts with a shorter duration (Policias, Hospital Central). In 2007 he returned to television with a role in the series Hermanos y detectivos, a Telecinco production with Diego Martín and Álex Angulo amongst others. In 2009, he took the part of Fernando, a republican soldier during the 1920’s, in the series La Señora (TVE), a role which he continued in the spin-off, 14 de Abril: La Republica.

He has also worked on various theatre projects, the most recent being Continuidad de los parques. In 2013 Victor participates in the TV movie Hermanos with Salvador Calvo combining this with Paco Montes’ play Oddie, Gran Reserva, El Origen (TVE) and also the TV movie Prim. El asesinato de la calle del Turco directed by Miguel Bardem.

In 2014 he obtains the leading role in Sicarios, la noche y el silencio under the direction of Javier Muñoz and Unamuno en Fuerteventura by Manuel Menhchón, working too with Tomaz Pandur in the play Fausto at the National Dramatic Center.

In Television he stars in the first episode of Cuéntame un cuento under the title of Los tres cerditos, for which he obtains the Union de Actores Best Actor Award and interprets Lope de Vega in one of the episodes of the successful El Ministerio del Tiempo.

In 2015 he shoots Guernica, directed by Koldo Serra and participates in the TV series Carlos V. Rey Emperador playing the role of San Francisco de Borja.
